William Arthur Brown

September 1, 1943 ~ October 20, 2021 (age 78)

WILLIAM ARTHUR BROWN - September 1, 1943 – October 20, 2021.  Surrounded  by our family, our beloved husband, dad and poppa passed away peacefully after a brief but difficult battle of lung cancer at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie, Ontario. He will be forever cherished, loved and remembered by Judy, wife of 54 years, daughters and son in- laws, Cynthia and Reid Patterson and Jean and Paul Gurnick, and his four grandchildren, James, Victoria, Julia and Maggie.  He will be sadly missed by brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Sandra Brown, and all his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Theodore and Agnes Brown and his brothers and sisters, Stanley (Joyce) Brown, Irene and Jack McQueen, Robert (Audrey) Brown, Peter and Margorie Brown, Joyce and Larry Maloney and Velma and Bill Coulson. A celebration of life and internment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Barrie, Ontario on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 2:30 pm. His crusty but kind and gentle soul will be forever missed.  Always ready for an adventure, Saturday drives and a trip to McDonald’s, his pockets were full of butterscotch candies.  His best friends were his dear grandchildren and would be ready at a phone ring to help them. His life motto was “There are no strangers, just a friend I haven’t met). Sincere appreciation to the kindness and skill of Fire and Paramedic first responders and the Doctors and Nurses at RVH.

We deeply miss you already Dad...  and as you always say, TTFN (and in case you didn’t know, Ta Ta For Now)
