MILLER, DARLENE PATRICIA - Darlene's family are devastated to announce her sudden and unexpected passing on March 23, 2021 in Barrie, Ontario as a result of complications of COPD. Darlene was born to Ralph (Dusty) and Betty Miller in Schreiber, Ontario on April 12, 1959, the youngest of four children. In 1963 the family emigrated to New Zealand where Darlene attended school and enjoyed a carefree youth.  With her extremely friendly and outgoing personality she made many lasting friendships in both New Zealand and Canada.
After returning to Canada in 1977, Darlene graduated from the Culinary Arts Program at Confederation College and became well known for her cooking abilities. She could make a delicious meal for any occasion, from very simple to very fancy, with very little effort.
In 2001 Darlene moved to Barrie, Ontario where she again settled easily into her new community and made many lasting friendships.
Left to mourn Darlene's passing are her siblings: Dan Miller (Faye) Ignace, ON;   Sue Knowles, Kingston, ON. and Glenda Speak, Thunder Bay, ON., along with several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.  Also left to mourn are her beloved Robbie Winter, David McCrady, Pamelyn Paskoe and Dave Slusarchuk, along with the many others she touched with her beautiful soul.
Darlene was predeceased by: Parents, Ralph and Betty Miller; Brother-in-Law, Richard Knowles and Niece, Lacey Speak.

Darlene had an effervescent personality. To be around her always meant good times and loads of fun. She had a heart every bit as big as her smile. To have been her family or friend was to have been truly blessed. Rest In Peace Darlene. You will be forever loved, never forgotten and sadly missed. In memory of Darlene, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
