Ernest (Ernie) James Tettman, in his 56th year, passed Wednesday, July 31st, 2019 at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie, following a 3-year battle with cancer. His passing was peaceful, and attended by loved ones.
He was a loving father to his late son, Robert; was a brother to the late Scott and is survived by brother Edward (Lisa) of Cambridge, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be dearly missed by many close friends, especially his best friends, Jim (Sam) Waterhouse, Ken (Cindy) Burnell, and Benny (Lisa) Muus.
Born in North York, 2nd of October 1963, the son of the late Gordon and Nancy Tettman. He was raised in Richmond Hill, ON. Ernie had a passion for cars. He could make what seemed impossible, possible to make his vision come to life when it came to cars. He was also outside at much as the weather would allow. Many people have fond memories of Ernie, outside, shirtless, wearing short shorts working on a car, and drinking a beer.
The family wish to thank the dedicated and caring staff of Hospice Simcoe including the nurses, PSWs and volunteers. You really made Ernie’s last week special.
A celebration of life will be held later this year; date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Simcoe.
